Hi. I'm Steve Sobel.
I'm a life long tinkerer, a Software Engineering Leader, and perhaps most known as the developer of Reddit Enhancement Suite - a browser extension used by millions of reddit users.

I am available for limited software development consulting projects on a consulting basis. I have experience in a variety of languages (python, PHP, javascript, just to name a few) and am happy to help solve complex problems!

Looking for mentorship on the Software IC or Engineering Leader track? I'm happy to help! I mentor engineers at every level, from early-career ICs to fellow Directors of Engineering, through MentorCruise. Whether you're weighing a move into management or navigating a leadership role, we can turn your questions into concrete next steps. Your first intro call is free.
I'm not writing as much code these days, but you can find my open source contributions on github.
You can read more about my career path on LinkedIn, but please, no sales / recruiter requests.
